Wisconsin Blueprint for Health Care Reform |
Days before they left office, Department of Health Services Secretary Karen Timberlake and Insurance Commissioner Sean Dilweg unveiled a blueprint on how Wisconsin could best implement national health care reform. The blueprint is of great value to policymakers in Wisconsin or other states, regardless of ideology, who are interested in getting the most possible benefits for their states from the Affordable Care Act. Although the Walker Administration will want to put its own stamp on implementation, there is much in this document that should be very helpful to them. This document, which represents an investment of thousands of hours of staff time from Governor Doyle's Office of Health Care Reform, reflects the "Wisconsin Idea" of making government work in the common interest.
